Documenting Britain
As part of my project I will celebrate stained glass as an expressive art form in the 21st century, develop ideas that focus on interesting people, places and their histories, while trying to break new ground through an art form that has existed since the 9th century.
Spiders & Beetles
Today I am working in my studio finalising glass pieces for the forthcoming Absent Voices exhibition taking place later in November. So far today I have painted the Virgin Mary, a fat pet cat and now a host of spiders and beetles which seems apt given that its Halloween!
Every day in the studio is different which is why I love my work…
I tend to work on several glass creations at the same time which means a total variation in my approach. This week I have finished the restoration of a beautiful Victorian window which was followed by a session shooting holes in large sheets of georgian wire safety glass!
Variety… its the spice of life!
